Nats GM: Bottom line is Harper 'needs to stay in the game'

There have been many opinions expressed about whether Bryce Harper's ejection from the Washington Nationals' game on Wednesday was deserved, the majority of which err in Harper's favor.
Nats general manager and president of baseball operations Mike Rizzo has a different perspective on the matter.
Regardless of whether Harper did or did not deserve to be tossed from the game, his second ejection of the week, Rizzo urges the hot-hitting outfielder to find a way to keep himself on the field, especially amid his hot streak.
"Well, he needs to stay in the game," Rizzo said, according to CBS DC. "He's our cleanup hitter. Right now, he's the best player we have, he's one of the best players in the league, and he's one of our team leaders, even as a 22-year-old."
While Rizzo calls upon the Nationals star player to ensure he doesn't incite an ejection, he's in Harper's camp when it comes to Wednesday's questionable ejection.
"With that said, he shouldn't have gotten ejected from that game," he said. "There's eight other players on that field that would not have been ejected for doing the same thing that he did. But I wasn't down there. I don't know what was said and what transpired. All I know is Harp's got to stay in the game."
