Matt Moore 'turned up the intensity' in latest rehab start

Tampa Bay Rays lefty Matt Moore is working his way back from Tommy John surgery and tossed four innings in his latest rehab appearance.

After the start, he provided an update to the Tampa Bay Times:

"To be able to kind of get through all my pitches like that, maybe turning the intensity up a little bit tonight... It was nice to get out there and compete.

"I really do feel better about the whole thing because we did get through that many innings. That many up and downs, that's new to me right now, so to not be in any kind of discomfort or still be able to feel the same first through four, I'm very happy with that."

This progress has to come as welcome news to the Rays, who sit just 2.5 games back from the first-place New York Yankees.
