NEW YORK (AP) Chicago Cubs pitcher Jon Lester has been voted the Babe Ruth award as postseason MVP by the New York chapter of the Baseball Writers' Association of America.

Lester was 3-1 with a 2.02 ERA in five starts and one relief appearance as the Cubs won their first title since 1908. He will receive the honor at the chapter's annual dinner on Jan. 21.

Cubs closer Aroldis Chapman, Cleveland Indians reliever Andrew Miller and New York Yankees reliever Dellin Betances will receive the Willie, Mickey & The Duke award. They formed a formidable trio for the Yankees before Chapman and Miller were dealt ahead of the Aug. 1 trade deadline.
