Lefty reliever Beimel agrees to terms with Miami Marlins

MIAMI (AP) Left-handed reliever Joe Beimel has agreed to terms with the Miami Marlins and will report to extended spring training pending a physical.
The 39-year-old Beimel has pitched in 676 games and spent the 2014 and 2015 seasons with the Seattle Mariners. Last year he had a 3.99 ERA in 47 1/3 innings.
The Marlins designated reliever Craig Breslow for assignment Wednesday, leaving them with no lefty in the bullpen.
