Lamb's return may pose dilemma for D-backs with hot-hitting Tomas

The Diamondbacks’ Yasmany Tomas has found his groove at the plate after taking over for the injured Jake Lamb at third base. He currently has an 11-game hitting streak in which he’s gone 21 for 50 with nine RBIs. Lamb had been hitting .414 with nine RBIs of his own before going on the DL, and will probably be ready to return within the next week.
D-backs manager Chip Hale called the situation a “doozy.” According to The Arizona Republic, Hale said the following regarding the situation:
"I can find the at-bats," Hale said. "Is everybody going to be really happy? No. But we'll have to do what we have to do because we've got such quality players and they all need the at-bats…”
Meanwhile, D-backs president Derrick Hall voiced strong support for Lamb, per Arizona Sports:
“I think he is the third baseman of the future."
