Indians, Yankees to play doubleheader May 13

The Cleveland Indians and New York Yankees will play a traditional doubleheader on May 13 at Progressive Field.

The doubleheader, which will begin at 12:05 p.m., became necessary when the April 10-11 games in Cleveland were postponed by rain. The May 13 date is one of the few mutual off-days for the two teams. The Indians play in Detroit on May 12 and begin a series in Philadelphia on May 14. The Yankees are in Kansas City on May 12 and begin a series at home against Seattle on May 14.

New York won the first two games of the series by a combined 25-7 score.
