DETROIT (AP) Cleveland Indians starter Carlos Carrasco left Sunday's game against the Detroit Tigers in the third inning with an injury to his right leg.
The right-hander ran to first base to try to beat Andrew Romine on a ground ball. He had to turn to catch Carlos Santana's throw and hit the bag at an awkward angle.
Carrasco recorded the out but crumpled to the ground. After several minutes of treatment, he was helped off the field. He was able to put only minimal weight on his leg.
