Helton, CarGo out of Rockies' lineup

Rockies first baseman Todd Helton and left fielder Carlos Gonzalez are not in the starting lineup for Colorado's game against the Milwaukee Brewers on Friday night.

Manager Jim Tracy said he thinks both players are fine, but wanted to give them an extra day to rest their various injuries.

Gonzalez hurt his groin and left in the third inning of a 7-1 win over Philadelphia on Thursday night. He was seen running in the outfield of Miller Park without a limp before the game. He was replaced by Ty Wigginton.

Helton was a late scratch on Thursday with a stiff back. Helton's replacement, Jason Giambi, hit three homers and drove in all seven runs against the Phillies. Giambi is back in the lineup against the Brewers.
