Next New Year's Eve, Ken Griffey Jr. likely will be days away from being voted into the Hall of Fame — it will be his first year on the ballot.

Griffey's son, Trey, is a wide receiver for the 10th-ranked Arizona Wildcats. On Wednesday, Trey pulled in six catches for 66 yards in a 38-30 loss to the Boise State Broncos in the Fiesta Bowl. ...

... and his father was on the sideline, playing photographer with what seemed to be a top-of-the-line camera.

It's not the first time Griffey — sixth on MLB's all-time homer list (630) and 15th in RBI (1,836) — has been seen playing photographer on a football sideline during a national televised game. He snapped photos at a "Monday Night Football" game in Green Bay on Dec. 8.
