Giants' Wilson hangs at Sheen's house

San Francisco Giants closer Brian Wilson and several other former MLB stars were invited to Charlie Sheen's house this weekend for a private screening of "Major League," TMZ reported Monday.

In addition to Wilson, who has been likened to Sheen's character from the movie, Rick "Wild Thing" Vaughn, TMZ reported that Lenny Dykstra, Kenny Lofton, Todd Zeile and Hall of Famer Eddie Murray also showed up.

All-time hits leader Pete Rose was also reportedly invited, but did not attend.

Sheen reportedly flew Wilson from Arizona, where the Giants are holding spring training, to LA for the party.

Sheen told TMZ he brought in "Major League's" writer-director David Ward to introduce the movie in his private theater. The players also got to try on Babe Ruth's 1927 Yankees World Series ring, which Sheen purchased at auction more than a decade ago.

Saying "I'm married... to baseball," the "Two and a Half Men" star called the night, "the ultimate VIP baseball excursion."

Sheen has been undergoing home rehab following an incident on Jan. 27 where he was carried out of his Los Angeles home on a stretcher and transported to a hospital.

He had allegedly spent the night partying with porn actresses after receiving what a witness said was "a briefcase full of cocaine."

Earlier this month, Sheen visited the UCLA baseball team's practice, reportedly telling players in a pep talk to "stay off the crack."

Sheen is set to return to work on "Two and a Half Men" on Feb. 28 after production was put on hold by CBS after his hospitalization.

The 45-year-old earns $1.25 million per episode for the sitcom.
