Forbes released its annual list of the most valuable sports franchises and a certain baseball team by the Bay took a Giant leap forward. CSN Bay Area notes that the San Francisco Giants are valued as the 14th-most valuable sports franchise in the world in 2015, compared to 37th in last year’s rankings.

Earlier this year it was revealed that the team had doubled in value from $1 billion to $2 billion and ranked fourth among MLB teams behind the Yankees, Dodgers and Red Sox.

The most-valuable sports franchise in the world is Real Madrid. Unsurprisingly, the Dallas Cowboys are the most-valuable American sports team (2nd overall), and the Yankees the most-valuable baseball team (3rd overall).

The Giants are tied with the Bulls at 14th overall and just behind the other Giants -- the New York football team (12th overall).
