Many Yankee fans refer to the New York Yankees' new stadium in the Bronx as "The House That Jeter Built."

While that sounds good in blogs and on T-shirts, it isn't 100 percent true, because the house that the Yankees' captain built is thousands of miles south of the Big Apple in Tampa, Fla. It cost him a cool $7.7 million to construct, says Tampa Bay Online.

Sitting right on the water, Jeter's new mansion is located on Bahama Circle in Tampa's Davis Islands — just minutes from Peter O. Knight Airtport. The captain's abode is about 30,000 square feet and boasts seven bedrooms to go with nine bathrooms. Jeter bought up the adjacent lots in 2005 and 2006.

The Yankees captain recently put his New York City penthouse on the market for $20 million.
