The Dodgers have avoided arbitration by agreeing to a $500,000, one-year contract with outfielder Jason Repko.

The deal includes about $125,000 in performance bonuses.

Repko appeared in just 10 games with the Dodgers last season, going 0 for 5. The 29-year-old outfielder played 110 games at Triple-A Albuquerque, hitting .277 with 16 home runs, 47 RBIs and 24 stolen bases.

He will compete in spring training for a spot on the opening day roster as a fourth outfielder. Repko has been dogged by injuries since making his major league debut with the Dodgers in 2004.

Eight Dodgers remain eligible for arbitration. They are pitchers Chad Billingsley, Jonathan Broxton, Hong-Chih Kuo and George Sherrill, first baseman James Loney, catcher Russell Martin and outfielders Andre Ethier and Matt Kemp.
