Dodger starter Norris exits after facing two hitters Sunday

Updated Mar. 4, 2020 6:17 p.m. ET

LOS ANGELES (AP) Los Angeles Dodgers starter Bud Norris came out of Sunday's game against the Arizona Diamondbacks after facing two hitters.

After Norris threw his second pitch to the game's second hitter, Michael Bourne, catcher Yasmani Grandal hurried out to the mound waving trainers out of the dugout.

After a brief exam and discussion that appeared to center around Norris' ribcage, the right-hander threw a pair of warmup pitchers before resuming.

Norris retired Bourne on a popup before leaving the game.
