Cubs RF Heyward out of the lineup with sore right wrist

CHICAGO (AP) Cubs right fielder Jason Heyward is out of the lineup for the fourth straight game due to a sore right wrist and is hoping to return on Friday.
Heyward tested his wrist during batting practice before Thursday night's game against Washington. As long as it responds well to the workout, he plans to play in the second game of the four-game series.
Heyward says he got hurt while working on his swing during Chicago's series at Arizona last month. He is batting .211 with no homers and 13 RBIs in his first season with the Cubs after agreeing to a $184 million, eight-year contract during free agency.
Also Thursday, the major league-leading Cubs placed reliever Neil Ramirez on the bereavement list and recalled right-hander Spencer Patton from Triple-A Iowa.
