Cubs recall Lake

The Cubs made a roster move Monday night, optioning right-hander Brian Schlitter to Triple-A Iowa and recalling outfielder Junior Lake.
The outfielder has played all three outfield positions for the Cubs over the past two seasons.

Per Cubs.com, “Lake, 25, has batted .243 (132-for-544) with 26 doubles, 15 home runs and 41 RBIs in 172 Major League games. … Schlitter, 29, was 0-2 with a 9.53 ERA in seven relief appearances this season. Schlitter pitched to a 4.15 ERA in 61 games with the Cubs as a rookie last season.”
