Chipper Jones 'definitely' back in 2012

Third baseman Chipper Jones says he's definitely playing for the Atlanta Braves in 2012.

The 39-year-old Jones considered retiring last year, then decided to come back after sustaining a serious knee injury. He's had several nagging injuries this season and needed arthroscopic knee surgery in early July. But he's feeling better than he has all year, homering three times on the current homestand.

A solo shot in Friday night's 4-2 victory over Arizona was Jones' 12th homer of the season. He's hitting .275 with 56 RBIs.

Jones has one more year on his contract at $14 million and intends to play. There's a club option for 2013 that could become guaranteed if he plays a certain number of games
