Published Jun. 5, 2015 3:07 a.m. ET

According to the Los Angeles Times, Charter Communications announced that it will begin carrying the Dodgers’ SportsNet LA beginning Tuesday, June 9. The move comes nearly two weeks after Charter announced its acquisition of Time Warner Cable, formerly the exclusive carrier of the Dodgers’ cable channel since its launch at the start of the 2014 season.

The move means that 300,000 additional cable subscribers in the Los Angeles area, including Malibu, Long Beach, Burbank, Glendale, and Monterey Park will have access to the Dodger broadcasts. Charter’s channels 44 and 789 will be the standard and high definition channels broadcasting SportsNet LA. The L.A. Times reports that subscribers will not be charged extra for the channel which will be included in the Spectrum TV Select and Spectrum Business Select packages.
