Brewers to have a platoon at second base

While Scooter Gennett is working on some things at Triple-A, the Brewers will divide the second base duties between Elian Herrera and Hector Gomez, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.

“I'm going to take it on a nightly bases,” Brewers manager Craig Counsell said. “There's no pre-set guy that's going to get the bulk of the playing time. We'll go with it every night and see what happens.”

Herrera has hit .227 in 26 games this season while Gomez has hit .219 in 30 games.
