The Milwaukee Brewers have finalized infielder Craig Counsell's $1.4 million contract and also reached an $875,000, one-year agreement with right-hander Sean Green.

The 31-year-old Green spent most of last season on the disabled list with a right intercostal muscle strain. He was recalled by the New York Mets Sept. 6 and did not get a decision in 11 relief appearances, compiling a 3.86 ERA.

He has a career record of 10-11 with a 4.36 ERA in 250 appearances during five seasons with Seattle and New York.

The 40-year-old Counsell hit .250 with two homers and 21 RBIs in 102 games last season.
