SEATTLE (AP) Hanley Ramirez was out of the Boston Red Sox's lineup on Wednesday night with a sprained left wrist, but the team said there is no structural damage.

Red Sox manager John Farrell said X-rays and an MRI on Ramirez's wrist came back clear and he's only expected to miss a few days.

Ramirez slipped on some stairs leading to the Boston clubhouse after Tuesday's 5-4 loss to Seattle. Ramirez was immediately taken for X-rays at the stadium and had an MRI on Wednesday. The results of the MRI were reviewed by a hand specialist in Boston and determined there was no structural damage to the wrist, Farrell said.

Travis Shaw was set to start at first base in Hanley's place for the Red Sox on Wednesday and Farrell said at this point they don't believe Ramirez will be a candidate for the disabled list.
