Blue Jays take interim tag off Beeston

The Toronto Blue Jays are taking the interim tag off Paul Beeston's title. He was appointed president and CEO of the club and Rogers Centre for a three-year term Tuesday. Beeston took over from Paul Godfrey on an interim basis in October 2008. He said he didn't want the job full-time, noting it demanded someone willing to make a 5-to-10 year commitment. But team owner Rogers Communications Inc., encouraged him to take the permanent job.
