Astros' mascot hits on Kate Upton during Justin Verlander's start

Justin Verlander better watch his back, because the Houston Astros’ mascot is coming for his woman.

The Astros’ mascot, Orbit, hit on Kate Upton via Twitter Saturday, possibly in an effort to jinx her boyfriend, who was starting for the Tigers against Houston.

Verlander was cruising along early in the game. Maybe Orbit was hoping that the tweet would somehow distract Verlander, or at least give him some negative energy.

To us, this is a poor move by Orbit, who is coming across as even more desperate than this kid. But if these rumors are true, Orbit might not have to wait much longer before Kate’s available again, so perhaps he’s just trying to get a jump on things.
