Astros claim pitcher Harris from Arizona

HOUSTON (AP) The Houston Astros have claimed right-hander Will Harris off waivers from Arizona.

The 30-year-old Harris set a franchise record by capping the season with 16 straight scoreless appearances for the Diamondbacks. He had a 4.34 ERA with 35 strikeouts in 29 outings last season.

Harris is 5-5 with a 4.26 ERA in 110 major league appearances over the last three seasons.

The Astros also selected catcher Carlos Perez to the 40-man roster and outrighted right-hander Jose Cisnero from the 40-man. Right-hander Josh Zeid was activated from the 60-day disabled list.

Perez hit .259 with 16 doubles, six homers and 34 RBIs last season for Triple-A Oklahoma City.
