The Oakland A's 5-4 loss at the hands of the Detroit Tigers yesterday featured another rough appearance from reliever Jim Johnson. Having already been demoted to middle relief after some ninth inning meltdowns this season, Johnson pitched the seventh with Oakland trailing 3-2 - and allowed a two-run double to Victor Martinez.
After finishing the frame, Johnson left to a chorus of boos from A's fans, frustrated with his disappointing first two months in green & gold.
Following the game, there was a lot of talk about the booing problem from the media and from some players.
