Angels get into Guinness record book

The Los Angeles Angels have put themselves into the record books - by fleecing their fans.
And it had nothing to do with the ticket prices.
The estimated crowd of 45,000 attending Tuesday night's game against Minnesota received complementary red fleece blankets inscribed with Hideki Matsui's name and uniform No. 55 as they entered the ballpark. At the end of the fourth inning, the fans were encouraged to wear their ``blankies'' for 5 straight minutes - a request they willingly obeyed through the top of the fifth.
A Guinness World Records adjudicator was on hand to officially certify the new record for ``the largest gathering of people wearing fleece blankets of one color in one place.''
The previous record of 17,758 fans, was set on March 5 by the NBA's Cleveland Cavaliers.
