PHOENIX (AP) Phoenix's main airport expects its busiest day ever as football fans in town for the Super Bowl head home.

Following Sunday's big game, Sky Harbor International Airport spokeswoman Heather Lissner says a total of 180,000 people are expected to depart, arrive or connect at the airport on Monday, up from 110,000 on a normal day.

The Transportation Security Administration says about 80,000 passengers are expected to depart - twice the normal amount for an average day.

TSA spokeswoman Lorie Dankers says extra screeners are working and that security lines were moving quickly Monday morning.

The airport expects its big crush to happen midday. Passengers should check in at airport ticket counters three hours before flights leave.

Winter storms on the East Coast have led to a few cancellations and delays.
