ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) Nathan Eovaldi of the New York Yankees has a no-hitter through six innings against the Texas Rangers.
Eovaldi is only the second major league player ever from Alvin High School in Texas. The other is Nolan Ryan, who holds the major league record with seven career no-hitters.
The Rangers had only two baserunners through six innings Monday night. Eovaldi had six strikeouts.
