The Chicago White Sox have reinstated outfielder Dayan Viciedo from the 15-day disabled list before their game Friday against the Los Angeles Angels.
In a corresponding move, the White Sox optioned outfielder Jordan Danks to Triple-A Charlotte.
Viciedo was placed on the DL after he strained his left oblique April 18 at Toronto. Viciedo played four games on a rehab assignment at Charlotte. In 13 games for the White Sox, Viciedo is hitting .229 with two homers.
Danks started four games and played in nine for the White Sox, hitting .200.
