Published Aug. 2, 2012 7:33 p.m. ET

The Rockies have recalled right-hander Alex White from Triple-A Colorado Springs, and he will start Thursday night against the St. Louis Cardinals.

White was 3-3 with a 3.61 ERA in 10 starts at Colorado Springs since being sent down on June 24. He was 2-6 with a 6.45 ERA in 10 starts with the Rockies this season before his demotion.

To make room for White, Colorado sent outfielder Andrew Brown to Colorado Springs. Brown was hitting .208 with no home runs and three RBIs in 11 games with the Rockies.
