WATCH: Reds' Bryan Price gets ejected before game starts

Published May. 23, 2015 5:06 p.m. ET

Hey, how many innings did Cincinnati Reds manager Bryan Price manage on Saturday? Try zero -- he got ejected before the first pitch after getting into a heated argument with the umpiring crew when bringing out the Reds’ lineup card.

Price apparently had an issue with the strike zone called by Manny Gonzalez in Cleveland on Friday night. You can see some charts that show the way Gonzalez called the game here.

Inconsistent? I’m not so sure about that. Most everything in the zone was called a strike by Gonzalez. He consistently called the outside strike and the low strike for left-handers for both Reds and Indians pitchers, though there are a couple of outliers in there.

All in all, how does this help the Reds? Great, Price proved his point ... and earned himself an ejection for something that bothered him the night before. It proves nothing. It helps no one. But hey, I hope Price feels better about himself!
