PHILADELPHIA (AP) The Philadelphia Phillies are behind Mo'ne Davis and Taney Little League.

Phillies manager Ryne Sandberg replaced his customary Phillies uniform and cap with one bearing the name of Taney at his postgame news conference following Philadelphia's 4-3 win over the Seattle Mariners on Wednesday.

The Phillies also hung a Taney T-shirt in their dugout during Wednesday's game

Sandberg pledged the team's support for Taney, which plays Las Vegas on Wednesday night in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania, at the Little League World Series.

''A big day here in Philadelphia,'' Sandberg said. ''I feel like we did our part winning Game 1. A big game tonight for Taney so we're all pulling for them.''

''And I'll do anything for a free hat and T-shirt, too,'' Sandberg jokingly added.
