Rockies SS Tulowitzki leaves with strained groin

Published May. 31, 2012 1:00 a.m. ET

Colorado Rockies shortstop Troy Tulowitzki left Wednesday night's game against the Houston Astros in the seventh inning with what the team said was a strained left groin.

Tulowitzki appeared to suffer the injury while running out an infield ground out in the bottom of the sixth inning. He returned to the dugout limping slightly and was replaced at short the next inning by Marco Scutaro, who slid over from second base. DJ LeMahieu came off the bench to replace Scutaro at second.
