Rockies closer Street activated from DL

The Colorado Rockies have activated closer Huston Street and designated right-hander Juan Rincon for assignment.

Street signed a $22.5 million, three-year contract over the winter but was sidelined at the start of spring training with inflammation in his right shoulder. He wrapped up his long rehab over the weekend.

Manager Jim Tracy said he'll ease Street back into the closer's role, which has been held by Manny Corpas.

Also, left-handed starter Jorge De La Rosa (finger tendon) left Denver on Tuesday to start a minor league rehabilitation assignment that he hopes will return him to the Rockies' rotation by July 7.
