Rockies' Arenado crashes into tarp, stands to make amazing catch

We're only a little over a week into the regular season, and Colorado Rockies third baseman Nolan Arenado already is a strong candidate to win his third consecutive Gold Glove.
Arenado made arguably the best defensive play of the young season Tuesday night when he made an over-the-shoulder catch in foul territory before crashing into the tarp and, ultimately, the stands at AT&T Park.
Incredibly, he still almost threw out the San Francisco Giants' Angel Pagan, who had tagged at second base and advanced to third during Arenado's acrobatic performance.
Afterward, Arenado took some time to catch his breath and limped slightly while walking back to field his position, but he stayed in the game.
The catch halted what could have been a big rally for the Giants, who had runners on first and second with no one out while facing a 3-0 deficit. The Rockies won the game 4-1 to improve to 6-2 on the season and 5-0 on the road.
OMG Nolan Arenado just a Jeter into the stands catch. Wow! #Rockies
