Rockies aid grounds crew with wind-blown tarp (VIDEO)

Published Jul. 10, 2015 12:28 a.m. ET

The other night in Pittsburgh, the grounds crew needed some help from the Pirates to control a wind-blown tarp. Given the amount of rain that has fallen on the Rockies this year, it’s a little surprising that their grounds crew hasn’t dealt with a similar situation...until Thursday. Rockies manager Walt Weiss was among those taking to the field to aid the crew as well as pitchers David Hale and Chad Bettis. Going into Thursday, the Rockies had sustained 20 hours, 18 minutes of rain delays this season.
