The Arizona Diamondbacks have acquired right-handed reliever Matt Langwell from Cleveland to complete the trade that sent outfielder Jason Kubel to the Indians.
Langwell, 27, was 3-4 with two saves, 52 strikeouts and a 2.24 ERA in 42 relief appearances and one start with Triple-A Columbus. He appeared in five games with Cleveland this season, going 1-0 with a 5.06 ERA.
He has been in the Indians' minor league system for six seasons.
The Indians traded for Kubel on Friday after Arizona had designated him for assignment.
