Report: A-Rod's attorneys to sue slugger for unpaid bills

Even though he's not playing — and thus not getting into trouble — Alex Rodriguez is still finding it hard to hang on to friends.
He's among perhaps the most hated people in sports, perhaps the most hated player in all of baseball . . . by other players.
Commissioner Bud Selig is probably off the Christmas card list, what with that lawsuit against MLB and all. Oh yeah, he sued the players' union, too, so scratch them off, as well.
Seems like the only ones A-Rod could rely on to take his side anymore would be his lawyers.
Like we said, the guy's struggling to hold on to friends.
The Daily News on Tuesday reported that attorney David Cornwell, who represented Rodriguez in his Biogenesis battle in 2013, plans on suing his former client for unpaid legal bills, according to two sources.
While both Cornwell and a Rodriguez spokesman declined comment to the Daily News, the sources told the paper that Cornwell and his firm recently gave notice to MLB and the union that he plans to file suit next week in U.S. District Court in New York. The Daily News reported the total in unpaid fees is roughly $500,000.
The Daily News has in the past reported that Rodriguez felt ill-served by his legal team as Selig suspended the third baseman last August for the entire 2014 season after an arbitrator concluded Rodriguez used testosterone, human growth hormone and Insulin-like growth factor-1 in 2010, 2011 and 2012 in violation of baseball's Joint Drug Agreement.
On Wednesday, it was revealed in a book that Rodriguez is alleged to have been one of three major leaguers granted permission by MLB to use testosterone in 2007, as part of a program which grants one-year exemptions which prevent a player from being punished for use of the drug during that time.
