The Texas Rangers' Matt Harrison is trying to get back in shape for a return to the big leagues.

The lefthander was on a rehab assignment with Round Rock, the Rangers' Triple-A affiliate, as he tries to come back from spinal-fustion surgery.

On Friday night, Harrison faced four batters and did not get an out. He did, however, manage to ignite a donnybrook by hitting Matt Szczur, the final hitter he faced.

Iowa manager Marty Pevey and LF Junior Lake were ejected.

Gerry Fraley of the Dallas Morning News points out Harrison usually is pretty good with his control, hitting three batters in 427 innings from 2011-14.

Harrison seems to have work to do before rejoining Texas. He is 1-3 with a 6.35 ERA for 22 2/3 innings this season.
