Purcey reinstated from paternity list

The Detroit Tigers reinstated left-hander David Purcey from the paternity list for Monday night's game at Texas.

Purcey's wife gave birth to twins in Dallas on Saturday night, a boy and a girl. Purcey makes his offseason home in Dallas and didn't have to travel far to rejoin the Tigers.

To make room on the 25-man roster, the Tigers optioned left-hander Andy Oliver to Triple-A Toledo.
