Podsednik, Blue Jays agree to minor league deal

Outfielder Scott Podsednik has agreed to a minor league contract with the Toronto Blue Jays and been invited to major league spring training.

The 34-year-old hit .297 with six homers, 51 RBIs and 35 steals last season for the Kansas City Royals and Los Angeles Dodgers. He has a .279 average and 301 stolen bases in 10 major league seasons.

His agreement was announced Wednesday.
