Phillies place Michael Young on bereavement list

Phillies third baseman Michael Young has been placed on the bereavement list.
Infielder Cesar Hernandez was recalled from Triple-A Lehigh Valley before Wednesday night's game against Boston to take Young's spot. Hernandez was hitting .308 with two homers and 18 RBIs in 48 games at Triple A. The 23-year-old switch hitter is primarily a second baseman and hasn't played in the majors.
Young will miss at least three games. He's batting .258 with two homers and 11 RBIs.
