Orioles recall Brach, designate Meek

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) The Orioles recalled right-hander Brad Brach from Triple-A Norfolk and designated right-hander Evan Meek for assignment before their game Friday night in Kansas City.
The 28-year-old Brach appeared in two games Baltimore earlier this season, allowing three runs on five hits in 1 2-3 innings. He was 3-1 with a 3.26 ERA at Norfolk.
Meek was recalled a day earlier but did not appear in a game. He made 12 appearances for the Orioles earlier this season, going 0-1 with a 6.94 ERA.
