PHILADELPHIA (AP) Washington Nationals left fielder Bryce Harper did not start Tuesday's game against the Philadelphia Phillies, a day after his right knee got hurt.
The reigning NL MVP left in the seventh inning of Monday's 4-3 victory over Philadelphia after being hit by a pitch. Washington manager Dusty Baker said prior to Tuesday's game that Harper is day to day because of a bruise.
Harper is batting .242 with 13 homers and 34 RBIs in 51 games this season. He was replaced in the starting lineup by Clint Robinson.
