Mariners bring up OF James Jones from Triple-A Tacoma

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) The Seattle Mariners recalled outfielder James Jones from Triple-A Tacoma on Monday for his first stint on the big league roster this season.

Jones has spent the entire season with Tacoma, batting .264 with a home run and 13 RBIs in 48 games. He also has 15 stolen bases and was batting .342 in June. He hit .250 with nine RBIs in 108 games for Seattle in 2014.

Seattle optioned right-hander Danny Farquhar to Tacoma after he was called up Saturday and pitched in Sunday's 13-0 loss at Houston. He is 0-3 with a 6.49 ERA in 22 appearances for the Mariners this year.
