Lincecum hit by liner, leaves after 6 innings

Published Jun. 16, 2010 10:59 p.m. ET

Giants ace Tim Lincecum left Wednesday's game after a line drive hit him in the back of the right shoulder in the sixth inning.

Miguel Tejada's shot turned into an inning-ending groundout for Baltimore.

Lincecum crouched close to the ground for a moment, but the two-time Cy Young Award winner walked off the field under his own power.

Jeremy Affeldt started the seventh inning.
