Right-hander Jair Jurrjens may return to the Braves' rotation on Wednesday after making what is expected to be his final minor-league rehab start in his return from a strained left hamstring.
Jurrjens gave up four runs and seven hits in six innings for Triple-A Gwinnett on Thursday. He is back with his Atlanta teammates for a weekend home series against Detroit.
Manager Bobby Cox says Jurrjens will throw a side session on Sunday. Cox says if Jurrjens has no setback, he'll start against Washington on Wednesday. Kris Medlen is Atlanta's scheduled starter on Wednesday.
Jurrjens is 0-3 with a 6.38 ERA in five starts this season after posting a 27-20 record in his first two seasons with Atlanta.
