Texas Rangers outfielder Josh Hamilton has left Thursday night's game against the Boston Red Sox with a sore right knee.

Hamilton doubled to lead off the seventh inning and was replaced by a pinch runner. It was his third double of the game.

Hamilton was a starter for the AL in the All-Star game Tuesday.

With three hits Thursday, he took over the league lead with a .351 batting average.
