Inglett agrees to minor league contract with Rays

Infielder-outfielder Joe Inglett has agreed to a minor league contract with the Tampa Bay Rays.

The 32-year-old utilityman spent last season with the Milwaukee Brewers, pinch-hitting 69 times. He appearing in 100 games overall while also splitting playing time between right field, left field and second base.

Inglett batted .254 in 2010. He has spent parts of five major league seasons with Cleveland, Toronto and Milwaukee.

The deal Friday also includes an invitation to major league spring training.
