Hunter leaves game after being hit with pitch

Published May. 29, 2010 11:29 p.m. ET

Los Angeles Angels center fielder Torii Hunter left Saturday's game against Seattle with a bruised left hand after getting hit by a pitch from Felix Hernandez.

X-rays at a hospital were negative and Hunter was listed as day-to-day. The three-time All-Star and nine-time Gold Glove winner is batting .272 with seven homers and 29 RBIs in 47 games.

Hunter was hit by a 95 mph fastball in the first inning. He was checked out by trainer Ned Bergert and went to first base, but was replaced in the field by Reggie Willits for the top of the second inning.
